Our Church Family
Welcome to the CBC website! We hope that you will be able to find out all the information about us that you need.
In September Rev. Kevin Mills accepted our call to become our new Pastor. After a settling in period, Kevin started duties at the start of December.
If you have any questions about the Christian faith or about CBC in particular, please use the contact form.
We look forward to hearing from you!
'To build a Christ-centred community'
We aim to base everything that we are and do on that vision, which we have broken down into five areas:
Teaching God's word,
Telling others about Jesus,
Treating through pastoral care,
Transforming lives through God's Holy Spirit and
Togetherness, regularly meeting with one another on Sundays, in small groups and socially.
Our Vision is to provide a lively church and community resource on the High Street - a New Heart for Crowthorne. Our existing buildings do not meet these needs so we are now redevelopinging our site.
We're keen to ensure that the facilities will be a real asset for everyone:
- the church on Sunday and through the week
- existing users of our buildings including The Ark, Good Neighbours, etc.
- new ways to help and serve the community.
Services are held every Sunday at 10.30am.
On Sundays we usually start our service with a time of all-age worship, lasting about half an hour. After this the children go to their own groups.
The 5th Sunday in months when it occurs is an All-Age service in the church.
All are welcome after the service to join us for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat!
Communion is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Who are we?
We are a group of ordinary people who love Jesus and are learning together what it means to follow Him in our world today.
Of course, it goes without saying that we would love to see you at any of our services or activities when we can meet again.
At CBC we continue to follow Government and Baptist Union advice.
We have all experienced many months of disruption to our normal lives. Some of us are having to self isolate or some may feel they need to stay home more. If you are struggling with anything, Covid-19 related or otherwise, and would appreciate prayer then feel free to email us at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org
All you share will, of course, be in confidence and we promise not to bombard you with further emails!
Sometimes a personal prayer can be a huge comfort and help.
