CBC
About us
There has been a Baptist Church in Crowthorne since 1914, with our current church building opening on our High Street site in 1953. We are a group of ordinary people, of all ages, who have found meaning, purpose and hope for life in a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Our Vision Statement says "We exist to bear witness to Jesus Christ in the world, to share in his mission, and to make known his faithful and saving love for all creation". Sunday services are friendly, welcoming and lively, as we seek to work out what it means to live the Christian life in the 21st Century.
We believe that the church is part of the local community, and has a calling to serve that community in whatever way we can, and have links with local police, schools, shopkeepers, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Crowthorne Parish Council and Crowthorne Good Neighbours. We also host a Coffee Morning on behalf of Churches Together, and various other activities for young and old.
As part of our community involvement we run The Ark, a pre-school, in the church hall, every morning of the week during term-time.
CBC is a member church of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Evangelical Alliance and Churches Together in Crowthorne.
CBC is also a partner church for HOPE.
